A cover of the Shirelles’ 1961 hit. Above is Smith performing in 1969. Below is the Shirelles. Below that is, well…

Addendum:

I’ve since learned that I have, in fact, heard this song. According to Wikipedia: “The band’s hit “Baby It’s You” was also featured in Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse film, Death Proof.” Ah, well. The spirit if not the letter, right?

About:

I love music, but I don't know much of it. And while my heart is certain that Paul Simon's Graceland is the most perfect album to come out of western society, I'll admit that it's been my favorite album since I was eight. (Thanks, dad!) There's got to be something out there to give it a run for its money. So this Winter Term, I'm on a mission.

A MISSION STATEMENT:
(1) to scour the internet, mine friends' itunes, get suggestions and explore the WOBC vaults for music I've never heard before.
(2) to play it on the airwaves.
(3) to share it on this blog for your downloading pleasure.

so suggest a song & tune in!
